The New Albany United Methodist Churches have come together to form a church cluster in New Albany, Indiana. Our church cluster is comprised of eight local churches of the Methodist tradition and was the first such cluster in Southern Indiana. The cluster concept was agreed upon for many reasons. One reason we support the idea of the cluster is the more church members involved the greater the resources available. This comes in handy for events such as Vacation Bible School, Trunk-or-Treat, A Night in Bethlehem, Relay For Life, the Christian Mom Sisterhood and Harvest Homecoming. To read more about these events, click on our Cluster Events page. Some ways we come together are through combined worship services during the time of Lent including services on Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. As our church families work together, strong relationships are built between the members as well as the churches. Finally, coming together expands the Kingdom of God and exemplifies the body of Christ in our community. By working together we are able to offer varied activities and memorable events for the churched and unchurched in our area. We are not here to focus on merging. We are here to build relationships between our churches. Ask your pastor or cluster representative how you can be involved in this exciting and important work.
